Other Meat constitutes a very important species of livestock in India. They are considered to be very important for their contribution to the development of rural zones and people. The local initiatives to promote quality labels and innovative products for cheeses, meat and fibers could help Swine/Pigs, Rabbits, Horse, Camel, Primates, etc in keeping a role for sustainable development in an eco-friendly environment all over the world.
Areas of Production: Pig Population² : Assam (30.47%) Jharkhand, (10.27%) Meghalaya (8.62%), Nagaland (7.43%), West Bengal (7.29%) and Tripura (5.56%).
