How to Apply for the BHARATI program?

The BHARATI program is open to both APEDA and non-APEDA members. Click Here to Know the Eligibility Criteria for Participation and Who can Apply? To participate, following steps are as under:

1. Application Form Submission:

  • Applicants must apply under only one category, based on the relevance to their business.
  • Applicants must complete the application process online, including a questionnaire specific to their chosen category. Links to the questionnaire forms are provided below.

2. Register with APEDA:

  • Applicants already registered with APEDA can mention that in their application forms and provide their registration details.
  • Non-registered applicants to the BHARATI Program are required to visit https://apeda.gov.in/Registration-Procedure to initiate the process of registration
  • Applicants who are not currently registered with APEDA, would be required to obtain a valid Registration-cum-Membership-Certificate (RCMC) from APEDA, as applicable, to ensure alignment with export-focused objectives of the program. The non-registered participants can initiate the registration process during and/or post application form submission process. The applicants who are screened/short-listed/selected for the Acceleration program would be required to have a valid Registration-cum-Membership-Certificate (RCMC) from APEDA prior to the commencement of the Acceleration phase of the program.
  • Non-APEDA members would be required to apply for RCMC under the following appropriate category (1) Merchant (2) Manufacturer (3) Merchant/Manufacturers as pre-requisite for participation
  • Farmer Producer Company (who are not currently registered) and are applying for the program would also be required to apply for RCMC under the following appropriate category (1) Merchant (2) Manufacturer (3) Merchant/Manufacturers as pre-requisite for participation
  • Participants applying as Export-enabling technology/service providers would need to apply for RCMC under the category of Merchant
  • Startups applying as solution providers for SPS (Sanitary and Phytosanitary) challenges need to apply for RCMC under the category of Merchant.
  • Individual Researcher, Innovator, Solo/Self-Employed entrepreneur applying  under the category of SPS solutions provider are not required to meet the definition of start-up for this initiative or apply for RCMC under the category of Merchant.

3. Provide Supporting Documents:

Here are the links for submitting documents in support of your application. These links are also available on application forms as well as here on the website. Please note, you only need to submit the documents once, as per your category (e.g start-up or FPC or individual) if you have submitted them in the application questionnaire form, then you do not need to resubmit the same through the links below.

If you are a Farmer Producer Company (FPC) applying under the category of Start-ups for High-Value and Innovative Agri-Food Products or Solution Providers for SPS Challenges, you must submit the following documents to demonstrate your eligibility, operational capabilities, and alignment with the Bharati Acceleration Program’s objectives. If you are an Individual Researcher, Innovator, or Solo/Self-Employed Entrepreneur applying under the Solution Providers for SPS Challenges category, you must demonstrate active research, project work, MVP, prototype, or a validated and verified idea/innovation related to SPS risk mitigation, compliance, or innovation in agri-food exports. Submit the following documents:

  • Copy of Identification Proof (e.g., Aadhaar, Passport, or Voter ID).
  • Professional Registration or Certification Details (if applicable, e.g., patent filings, research affiliations, or self-employment proofs).
  • GST and PAN details (if applicable, for solo/self-employed entrepreneurs).
  • Provisional financials or funding details for the project/innovation (if applicable, e.g., grants received or self-funded amounts for FY 2024–25).
