Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under Ministry of Commerce and Industry compiles export data of Millets from various sources including exporters’ returns submitted to APEDA, DGCI&S Kolkata and Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Major export trends have been highlighted here to equip the Millets exporters and other stakeholders with an understanding of the emerging arenas, shifts in trade and prospective business areas.

Export Performance of Millets during 2022-23

• Despite the COVID Pandemic in last few years, Millets export from India has continued its upward trend during 2021-22 and has attained an all-time high of US $ 62.95 Million mark for the first time in the history of Millets export..
• During 2022-23, the export of Millets and Millets related products from the country has been shipped worth of 169049.11 MT valued Rs. 608.12 crore (75.45 million US$).
