Note: Ministry of Commerce has set up a Peer Review Group in December, 2004 for assessing the performance of AEZs. On the basis of the recommendations of the Peer Review Group in 2005, it was decide not to consider notification & approval of any new AEZs unless there are strong compelling reasons. Hence, no new AEZ has been sanctioned/notified by the Govt. after that. The Districts of Telagana State are included in Andhra Pradesh State and Districts of Chhattisgarh are included in Madhya Pradesh.
