Issue of phytosanitary certificates mandatory for export of horticultural products to EU
Ministry of Agriculture has issued a circular to all officials in-charge of NPQS, RPQSs, PQSs to sensitize exporters that export of horticultural products to the EU market must be accompanied with phytosanitary certificates issued by the authorized agencies of NPPO.
Further, Ministry of Agriculture has also issued instructions that phytosanitary certificate would be issued by the authorized agencies of NPPO on the lines with grapenet software as per guidelines of IPPC, for export of pomegranates to EU. The web-based software on pomegranates is under preparation and as soon as it is hosted at the APEDA website, this would be in force. A communication in this regard would be e-mailed and will also be notified on the APEDA website.

All concerned exporters are advised to comply with the above.
