Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), an apex organization under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, is mandated with the responsibility for promotion and development of the export of agro products from India. APEDA seeks applications for engagement of a consultant handle the matters related to WTO activities including SPS matters and other allied matters relating to SPS/WTO and TBT issues. |
The requisite minimum essential qualifications, experience and scope of work for the consultant is as under:- |

QUALIFICATIONS |
1. |
Post graduate degree/diploma in food technology, agriculture, management or a related area from a reputed and recognized university. |

DESIRABLE |
1. |
Knowledge of agricultural produce and its products. |
2. |
Knowledge about Foreign Trade Policy and procedures. |
| |
EXPERIENCE |
1. |
Must have at least 15 years of working experience in a Senior Managerial level in Central/State Govt., Autonomous Bodies/Boards/Public Sector undertakings in the field of Export of Agri Products. |
2. |
Sound knowledge of SPS/WTO/TBT issues with knowledge of quality management systems such as HACCP, ISO, TQM etc. Should be well versed with computer operations and databases related to food websites. |

SCOPE OF WORK |
1. |
To handle the matters including providing inputs on bilateral discussions related to SPS/WTO/TBT issues and quality management systems. |
2. |
To advise the exporters about the international quality standards related to sanitary and phyto-sanitary controls and systems. |
3. |
To monitor on regular basis about the changes occurring in different world markets related to various Agro Products. |
4. |
To provide regular feedback on the issues related to SPS/WTO/TBT to various governmental authorities in the ministries of Agriculture, Food Processing Industries and Commerce & Industry and other related agencies. |
5. |
To handle the issues related to the Foreign Trade Policy and budgetary proposals with the Government. |
6. |
Any other activity as assigned by APEDA from time to time. |

CONSULTANCY CHARGES |
| |
A consolidated fee not exceeding @Rs.80, 000 (Eighty Thousand Only) per month. |
