UNIT PACKAGING SYSTEM
Appropriate dimensions of pouches have been worked out for the following products of the capacities like
i) 50gms and 100gms for Dehydrated onion flakes.
ii) 50gms and 100gms for AFD Corn.
iii) 100gm and 200gm for Dehydrated Garlic Powder.

The recommended unit pack is a pillow pouch with 4 side seals. It is recommended that the pouches should be flashed with an inert gas like nitrogen. This helps to extend the shelf-life of a product and also prevents insect infestation.
The dimensional details of the recommended pouches are given in Annexures – XIV, XVI & XVIII and the specification details are given in Annexures – XXIII, XXIV & XXV.
